Today we are going to start PFV Profiles! Each week we will feature one person from our team with a fun, little Q&A. We’re a small group, but all of us are an important part of the Parrish Family Vineyard. Without further ado, first up…
Ethan Ray is our assistant winemaker as well as assistant vineyard manager and has been with us since July of 2011. He is also a family member as he is David’s son-in-law (Cecily’s husband). Ethan is a huge asset to our team as he is hard working and cares about the quality of the grapes we grow and the wine we produce. Not only is he a dependable guy, but he’s also a lot of fun to be around…
When you’re not working, what do you enjoy doing?
Sleeping and cooking, but not at the same time. But I also enjoy fishing and shooting.
What’s something you love about Paso Robles?
There’s great places to eat. I love food.
What music do you listen to?
Mostly things that you wouldn’t hear on pop radio stations so like Modest Mouse, Machine Head, Hank3, the Clash, Juno Reactor, and of course the King [Elvis].
While we’re on the media subject, what’s your favorite movie?
Anything from Terry Gilliam
Any hobbies or talents you would love to share with us?
“Shlapp’n” da bass [plays bass] and singing like a mix between Louie Armstrong and Lemmy from Motorhead
Obviously you’re a foodie, so tell us what you could feast upon?
CHEESE and BACON! Booyah!
This is an important one…if you were a wine, what would you be?
I’d be an amazing Parrish wine of course! [what a kiss a** 😉 ] Okay…actually, Mead.
