PFV Profile: Suzie Quinn

This week we have Suzie Quinn!  Suzie has been with us for about a year and she usually works on Thusrdays in the tasting room.  She has also been a great help to us in that she is game to sort grapes, help with events, or do whatever to help us out.  She is technically retired, but she chooses to spend her time with family and working with us.  So, we appreciate her a lot.  If you haven’t had a chance to meet Suzie at an event or on Thursdays, here’s your chance!  She’s a lovely person with tons of creativity and talent…and well, she’s got a great smile too!

You have an afternoon in Downtown Paso Robles, who would you have with you, where would you go, and what would you do?

This is easy, I would be with my daughter, Camy, her husband, Barry and of course my husband Lloyd.  We would go wine tasting and then out to a fantastic meal in one of the great downtown Paso restaurants.

When you’re not working…what could we find you up to?

I love to garden, cook and watch sports, specifically Giants baseball (Go Giants!) and 49ers football.  I spend quite a bit of time with my dogs, two Boston Terriers.  I also have 6 grandkids and I try to spend as much time as I can with them.

What favorite TV show(s) could you watch a marathon of because it’s just that good?

My favorite TV show is the “Amazing Race”.  I love seeing the different cultures in the countries that they travel to.  When nothing new is on I will always watch “House” or anything “Star Trek”.

What music could we find you rocking out to?

Billy Joel, The Eagles, Jackson Browne, Journey and of course Meatloaf!  More current favorites: Collective Soul, The Script and Train.  I like music with words that mean something or tell a story.

Since we know you enjoy singing, what is one song that you could easily sing anywhere at anytime and why?

Another easy one [well, I’m glad they’re easy! 🙂 ]:  “Paradise By The Dashboard Lights” by Meatloaf.  Why? Well, all my kids and I love to sing this song.  We know all the words, it’s fun, upbeat and reminds me of my family.

Any hobbies or talents, you would love to share with us that might surprise people?

Not sure if it would surprise anyone but I do a lot of sewing, Halloween is just around the corner and the grandkids need costumes!  For fun I do machine embroidery and crochet as well.

Always the important one, if you were a wine, what would you be and why?

Well anyone who knows me knows how much I love Chardonnay!   I would be good Chardonnay because I would be creamy, RICH, smooth and pair well with salad and seafood.  [Cheers, to that!]
